I made a short flight this afternoon to fill the tanks on my airplane. I do this because the price of fuel at my home airport is currently $6.68 per gallon and the price I paid today at Zepherhills airport was $4.20 per gallon. The difference, for the 36 gallons that I bought today is a little over $89.00, which would be worth about 21 gallons purchased at Zepherhills, and makes it worth the 10 gallons it takes me to get there and back.
For me, the most interesting thing about the flight is
that the landing at Zepherhills was my 1000th landing in a small airplane.
